ZANU PF on rampage in Chipinge
Several MDC supporters were last night severely assaulted as ZANU PF supporters went on rampage raiding homes belonging to perceived MDC members in Tanganda and at Musane village in Chipinge.
The raids started at around 2300 hours and continued into the night. Tonderai Manjoko's home in Tanganda was raided at around 2330 hours by a group of about 15 ZANU PF youths who were moving in a white truck written Zimbabwe Republic Police and was being driven by a member of the force who was in uniform. They knocked at his door demanding that he should come out.
When he refused they force opened the door and dragged him into the truck and drove off. Among his abductors Tonderai was able to identify Danmore Masthezana who is a well known ZANU PF youth in the area. Tonderai was severely assaulted and lost $ 65000,00 to his abductors.
In Musame Village in Chipinge, the group descended on Gordon Mushakavanhu and severely assaulted him and two other old men whose names we had not yet established at the time of writing. The proceeded to the home of James Dhliwayo, but they failed to break the security wall and left.
ZANU PF still continues in their barbaric tactics in a desperate effort to keep the electorate in perpetual fear.
What is disconcerting is the behaviour of some of the police officers who seem to be working in collusion with the ZANU PF criminal elements.
We once again call upon the police force to bring these criminal elements to book
